This is Jeremiah at a week old.

This was his birthday party at my moms house. He was crying because he touched the candle right after we blew it out. ( cute Ellie Ramsey is behind him)

Its so crazy to think I survived the first 2 weeks of having a newborn. I had no idea what I was doing and kind of still don't. Im just remembering the feelings I had when we brought him home and makes me kind of sick to my stomach, it was really scary. So much emotion, I mean to the EXTREME. I don't know how to explain it. He is a pretty good boy. He said "Thank You" the other day. I was freaking out. He said it three times but will not say it anymore. He likes to say "no no no no" while shaking his finger. He says "ya ya" and pretends he is talking on the phone. He says momma and dadda sometimes. He is a super good walker. He is really good at kicking around a soccer ball. He just found his ears yesterday and likes flap them. He is so cute. I love him. ( Question for everyone: Does anyone elses docter say to keep there child rear facing in a carseat till there 2?)

Nope Eli's doc didn't say that AND I LOVE HIM. Eli actually was facing forward before he turned one(I know I know) and way I never heard that one. You baby boy is so cute. We need to get them together for a play date.
I was just thinking about you guys the other day and about how he was turning 1! He is such a cute little guy!!
i remember my dr said i could turn her around when she was 1 or i could wait until she was 24 pounds...she was only 17 or 18 pounds at one year so we would of waited until a few months ago. all doctors say different stuff. just do what feels right to you:)
i can't believe he is already 1!! he is so adorable. we need to start a play group!

Happy Birthday! I can't believe it's been a year. He is adorable. Bostyn's Doc said she could face forward at her 1 year check up and she was even underweight. He said as long as they walk well they are ready to face forward.

He looks so cute! I am with you on surviving a newborn - holy cow it almost killed me!! Our doc said to turn Em around when he turned 1, I haven't heard of ANYONE having to wait until they are 2 - but I think they have to be at least 20 pounds or something like that. I guess every doc is different!
I agree with "Svancara Family", all doctors do say different things! So confusing sometimes.

No, he stays rear facing until he hits one year old and 20lbs. If he's a weakling, baby him a bit and keep him rear facing, but flip him if he is 20lbs. I actually flip my kids like a month early cause they are horrible car riders and are super tall. Do what you feel is right for him.

Oh my gosh, is he already the big ONE??!! Time has flown by. What a cutie he is and I love his facial expressions. Definitely a keeper.

Also, I have never heard that rule about car seats. I have always read one year, and that's what both my car seat manuals say, too. Who's your doc?

Your such a great mom Em!! Except when you let him touch that candle! That's right, I saw you. You wanted him to touch it! J/K. J is so adorable, you have done such a great job with him this year. My Dr. said to try and keep them rear facing as long as possible, but we moved them once they hit 20 lbs.
